travel and the standing desk experiment
I was in a hotel for eight days for work and borrowed a standing desk riser from the business center. Used it for about half my working hours each day. My lower back, which has been a recurring problem since last year, felt noticeably better by day five. I slept better on those nights too, though I was also walking more than usual because I was in a city I do not know well. Hard to separate the causes. When I got home I ordered a riser for my home office. It arrived, I set it up, and I have used it three times. The hotel version was easier because there was nothing else competing for my attention.

Just popping back to say thank you, especially Susan. I read all of these with a cup of tea and had a little cry, in a good way. This community is such a relief sometimes.
