The pattern I only noticed on paper
Naming what happened first. That phrase is doing a lot of work and I think I know what you mean. For a long time the mood just arrived and I had no sense of sequence, no before. It is a strange kind of relief when you can at least place it in time, even if it is still there.

the dryness thing and long flights
The filing cabinet image is very accurate. I've started keeping a small tube of something in my hand luggage specifically for flights and it helps a little, though not as much as I'd like. Long-haul is a whole other level I haven't attempted in a while.

A small note from today
I nearly skipped logging this because it felt ordinary, but ordinary is most of the story for me. The gardening pattern is easier to see when I look across a few days instead of trying to remember everything at once.

Thank you Linda, and everyone who replied. This is exactly why I posted. Reading these has made me feel much less ridiculous, and I am adding a few notes before my next appointment.

Just popping back to say thank you, especially Julie. I read all of these with a cup of tea and had a little cry, in a good way. This community is such a relief sometimes.
