So my cycles have been doing something weird for about eight months and I genuinely cannot tell if this is perimenopause or just... being 48 with two kids and a job that never stops. Like. The anxiety is new. The forgetting words mid-sentence is new. My period showed up 11 days early last month and I stood in the bathroom genuinely confused. I feel too young to be in menopause spaces (no offense, truly) and too old for the period tracking apps that want me to log my "mood stickers." I've started writing down cycle dates and anything that felt off, mostly so I don't sound completely unhinged at my OBGYN. I want to ask real questions without her looking at me like I'm catastrophizing. Anyone else figure out how to do that? How do you walk in and say "something changed" without it sounding dramatic.
