20-Minute Kettlebell Core Circuit
Kettlebell core work trains the trunk in three dimensions simultaneously — rotational, lateral, and bracing — which is how the body actually uses its core.
20 min · Kit: Kettlebell (8–12 kg)
The session
- 13 min warm-up: breathing, bodyweight deadlifts
- 23×8 Kettlebell suitcase carry — carry in one hand, walk; switches hands halfway
- 33×10 each Kettlebell windmill — hold overhead in one arm, hinge to other side
- 43×8 each Kettlebell halo — circle around head slowly and controlled
- 53×10 Kettlebell Russian twist — seated, lean back slightly; rotate
- 63×5 Kettlebell Turkish get-up (bodyweight first rep then load)
- 73 min cool-down: thoracic rotation, child's pose
Worth knowing
- The Turkish get-up is considered one of the most complete exercises in existence — complex but worth learning
- Suitcase carries challenge the anti-lateral flexion of the core — very functional
- Start with a lighter bell than you think you need for all of these
- The windmill is an advanced movement — learn it without weight or with a light shoe first
