Apple Cinnamon Walnut Granola

A homemade crunchy granola with oats, walnuts, apple, and cinnamon — better than any shop-bought version.

Method

  1. 1Preheat oven to 160°C / 325°F; line a large baking tray.
  2. 2Mix oats, walnuts, maple syrup, coconut oil, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.
  3. 3Spread on tray; bake 25 min, stirring halfway.
  4. 4Cool completely; stir in dried apple.
  5. 5Store in an airtight jar up to 3 weeks.

Why it might be useful today

A steady-energy idea for long workdays, school runs, and the low afternoon dip.

Making your own granola means controlling the sugar; this version is naturally sweetened and has a better walnut-to-oat ratio than most commercial varieties.
