Grounding when you feel wired
For the buzzing, restless feeling that is not quite anxiety and not quite energy.

Come back to the room
Name five things you can see. Four you can hear. Three you can feel against your skin.
Put both feet flat on the floor and press down for a slow count of ten.
Cold water on the wrists or the back of the neck.
Then move
Wired often wants discharging rather than calming. Two minutes of stairs or a brisk walk round the block frequently does more than sitting still.
If it arrives most days rather than occasionally, that is worth mentioning at your next appointment.
Lowering the daily stress load protects the brain and heart as much as it changes how today feels.
