Disappointing experience with Magnesium Glycinate. My insomnia and night waking didn't improve and I had headaches throughout. I've stopped taking it.

I tried Magnesium Glycinate for insomnia and night waking but the results were mixed. I felt a bit more like myself, but the initial improvement plateaued. Might try something different.

My women's health nurse suggested Magnesium Glycinate for my difficulty falling asleep. It took about 4 weeks to notice anything, but by week 8 the improvement was really noticeable. Best decision I made for my health.

Sleep was the symptom that brought me to the GP. Waking at 2-3am every night drenched in sweat, unable to get back to sleep. Started magnesium glycinate before bed which helped a bit, then added Utrogestan which has a natural sedative effect. The combination has been brilliant — I'm sleeping 6-7 hours solid now instead of broken 4-hour stretches.

Combining magnesium with a strict sleep routine made a real difference. The magnesium alone wasn't enough when I'd tried it before, and sleep hygiene alone didn't help either. Together though — lights dimmed at 8:30, no screens, magnesium at 9, bed at 10 — I went from 4 hours broken sleep to 6-7 hours within a month. Still not perfect but dramatically better.
