Tried
Started Norethisterone alongside overall quality of life decline management. Week 3: there was a noticeable difference. Week 8: I was sleeping through the night. It's not perfect but it's made a real difference.

Tried
I've been using Norethisterone for about 8 weeks now for multiple menopausal symptoms. I slept better for the first time in months around week 4. I felt like I had my life back. It's been a real game-changer for me.

Tried
Norethisterone helped somewhat with my mood changes and sleep problems — mood stabilised slightly, though the hot flashes continued. I may try increasing the dose.

I was prescribed this older-style HRT combination. The hot flashes improved but I felt unwell in other ways — constant nausea, headaches, and terrible bloating during the norethisterone phase. After 3 months I asked to switch to body-identical alternatives. My GP agreed the side effect profile was too much. I think the oral route and synthetic progestogen didn't suit me at all.

The oestrogen patch was brilliant — my hot flushes settled, my sleep improved, I felt like a different person. Then the norethisterone phase arrived and it was like PMS on steroids. Severe low mood, rage, bloating, weeping at nothing. My GP insisted I try three months before switching but those twelve days each month were dreadful. I've now switched to Utrogestan and the difference is staggering. Synthetic progestogens are clearly not for me.
