After reading about other women's experiences with Vitamin D3, I decided to try it for my mood swings and rage episodes. the brain fog started to lift within the first month. I felt like I had my life back by 8 weeks. Very happy with the results so far.

Vitamin D3 helped somewhat with my night sweats and anxiety — anxiety eased somewhat, though the brain fog lingered. I may try increasing the dose.

Dr Gottfried's approach to testing and supplementing before jumping to HRT made sense for me. Got my vitamin D tested (it was low), started a protocol of D3, omega-3, and magnesium. Sleep improved within 3 weeks, mood stabilised by week 6. Not a miracle cure but a solid foundation. My GP was supportive and we agreed to reassess for HRT if symptoms worsen.

I built a supplement stack before starting HRT — vitamin D, omega-3 and magnesium. My vitamin D had been low on testing and correcting that alone improved my fatigue and low mood. The magnesium helped sleep, and the omega-3 seemed to ease the joint stiffness in my hands. None of these address the vasomotor symptoms directly, but as a foundation for general wellbeing during perimenopause they've been worthwhile. I've continued them alongside HRT.
