Morning

The one list

Everything goes on one list, in one place, all day

2 min

How to do it

One notebook or one note, not five. Whatever needs remembering goes straight on it the moment it occurs to you, work and home mixed together. Check it when you need to, not from memory.

What the evidence says

The largest study on menopausal cognition found that reported brain fog rises sharply through the transition while measured performance barely moves, and the gap tracks mental load more than any actual loss of ability. Getting things out of your head and onto one list frees up the mental space that's being spent on holding them there, which is a plain, doable answer to a symptom that is real but not a sign anything is failing.
