40-Minute Strength Endurance Circuit

Strength endurance training builds the kind of fitness that carries directly into daily life — the ability to sustain effort, carry things, and keep going.

40 min · Kit: Dumbbells (moderate weight)

The session

  1. 15 min warm-up
  2. 24 rounds of circuit (60 sec each exercise, 20 sec transition):
  3. 3Goblet squat
  4. 4Dumbbell push press
  5. 5Sumo deadlift
  6. 6Bent-over row (alternate arms each round)
  7. 7Reverse lunge (alternate legs)
  8. 8Dumbbell curl to press
  9. 92 min rest between rounds
  10. 105 min cool-down

Worth knowing

  • Strength endurance training (higher reps, moderate load) builds the capacity to sustain effort — functional for carrying, working, and everyday activities
  • The transition time between exercises is deliberate — use it to set up the next movement
  • Round 3 and 4 will feel harder; this is normal and is the stimulus for adaptation
  • Modify weight down on later rounds if form deteriorates — form always wins
