The session
- 12 min: Neck — forward, back, side tilts; ear to shoulder
- 22 min: Chest and shoulder — doorframe stretch or clasped hands behind back
- 32 min: Lat stretch — one arm overhead, lean to side; 1 min each
- 42 min: Hip flexor lunge — 1 min each side
- 52 min: Hamstring — standing or seated, foot on chair or floor
- 62 min: Quad — standing, hold ankle, balance on one foot
- 72 min: Glute and piriformis — figure-four in chair or floor
- 82 min: Inner thigh — wide-legged seated or butterfly
- 92 min: Spinal rotation — seated with opposite hand on knee
- 102 min: Full-body savasana — recline and breathe
Worth knowing
- Hold each stretch a minimum of 45 seconds for genuine lengthening effect
- Never stretch to the point of pain — discomfort is acceptable, sharp sensation is not
- Static stretching is most useful after exercise, not as a cold warm-up
- Flexibility is trainable at any age — consistency over months is what creates lasting change
