Burrata Caprese Salad

When tomatoes are ripe, this is one of the helpful things you can eat — the simplest salad is sometimes the helpful one.

What you need

  • 1 ball burrata (or buffalo mozzarella)
  • 4 ripe tomatoes (heirloom if available), sliced
  • Large handful fresh basil
  • 2 tbsp aged balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • Flaky sea salt, black pepper

What to do

  1. 1Arrange sliced tomatoes on a plate; season generously.
  2. 2Place burrata in the center.
  3. 3Tear basil over the top.
  4. 4Drizzle balsamic and olive oil; finish with flaky salt.
