Morning

One thing at a time, on purpose

Pick one task, close the other tabs, give it fifteen minutes alone

15 min

How to do it

Choose the one thing that actually matters right now. Close the other tabs, put the phone face down, and give it fifteen minutes with nothing else competing for it. When the fifteen minutes is up, you can switch.

What the evidence says

Switching attention between tasks carries a measurable cost to speed and accuracy, well established in general research on thinking and attention, and it stacks on top of whatever menopause is already adding to your plate. The Lancet review on menopause and thinking names understanding what's actually happening and working with it as the recommended way to manage it, not a supplement or a drug.
