A Little Bedtime Oatmeal

Half a breakfast portion on purpose. When dinner was at six and bed is at eleven, a small bowl of slow carbohydrate stops the night running out of fuel at 3am.

What you need

  • 30g rolled oats
  • 200ml milk of choice
  • Half a pear, grated
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup

What to do

  1. 1Simmer the oats and milk gently for five minutes, stirring now and then.
  2. 2Stir through the grated pear.
  3. 3Finish with the honey and eat it warm, lights low.
