I was sceptical about TENS Machine but desperate with my weight gain and low mood. the worst of the symptoms eased. By week 10, most of my symptoms had improved considerably. Worth persevering through the first few weeks.
Tried TENS Machine on the recommendation of endocrinologist. The first few weeks were uneventful, but by week 6 the symptoms were about 70% better. Still taking it and plan to continue.
I've been using TENS Machine for about 8 weeks now for heart palpitations and anxiety. things started to shift slightly around week 2. the symptoms were about 70% better. Still taking it and plan to continue.
Unfortunately TENS Machine didn't work for my brain fog and fatigue. I gave it 8 weeks and the symptoms persisted despite consistent use. I've stopped taking it.
TENS Machine wasn't for me. After 12 weeks of trying, my heart palpitations and anxiety were much the same. Disappointing but at least I know now.
Research context compiled from published sources
Electrical impulses stimulate large-diameter sensory nerve fibres, which inhibit pain signal transmission in the spinal cord (gate control theory). Also stimulates endorphin release at higher intensities and frequencies. Provides a non-pharmacological method of pain control that can be self-administered.
