Two minutes
The ten-minute lift that is not a coffee
A short, unglamorous sequence for the middle of a flattened afternoon.

The sequence
Outside, if there is any daylight at all. Even a gray afternoon is many times brighter than a lit room, and light is the strongest signal the body clock takes.
Walk for six or seven minutes at a pace that makes talking slightly harder.
A glass of water. Mild dehydration produces tiredness that feels convincingly like exhaustion.
Something with protein in it if the last meal was more than four hours ago.
Back to the one task that actually needs doing, rather than the inbox.
Why bother with something this small
Because it is repeatable on a bad day, and the things that work at this stage are almost always the ones small enough to still happen when everything is difficult.
Energy is the thing every other change in these years is paid for out of. Protecting it is what makes the rest possible.
General information, not medical advice. Narrated never diagnoses.
